SMS Terms and Conditions
These terms govern the SANE MAT Program conversational text-messaging program.
Effective and last updated: July 31, 2026
SMS is not an emergency service. Do not text SANE MAT Program for emergency assistance. Call 911 or the appropriate emergency service.
Program description
SANE MAT Program uses SMS and MMS for individual, conversational communications about customer inquiries, requested services, scheduling or coordination, and customer support. Messages are sent by authorized staff rather than as an automated marketing campaign.
Enrollment and consent
You may enroll by providing consent during an in-person intake, providing consent during a telephone conversation, or initiating a text conversation with SANE MAT Program. A referral from another person does not enroll you.
By enrolling, you authorize SANE MAT Program and its messaging service providers to send conversational text messages to the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number and are authorized to enroll it.
Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and the resulting conversation. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. SANE MAT Program does not charge a separate fee for participating in the SMS program.
Opt out
Reply STOP at any time to stop text messages from the number contacting you. We may send one final confirmation message. After opting out, you will no longer receive messages from that SMS program unless you provide consent again.
Requests are generally processed automatically, but carrier or system delays may occur. Opting out of SMS does not prevent SANE MAT Program from contacting you through another method when permitted.
Help
Reply HELP for messaging assistance. You may also contact SANE MAT Program using the contact information published on our primary website.
Privacy
Our SMS Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information associated with this program. We do not sell your mobile number or share SMS opt-in data or consent records with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. (Link "SMS Privacy Notice" to your privacy page.)
Sensitive information
SMS may not be encrypted or secure. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, detailed medical information, or other highly sensitive information by text. SANE MAT Program may ask to continue a conversation through another channel when appropriate.
Availability and delivery
Delivery depends on mobile carriers and other networks outside our control. Messages may be delayed, filtered, duplicated, or not delivered. Supported carriers may change, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. SANE MAT Program may suspend or end the program at any time.
Telephone-number changes
If you stop using or transfer your enrolled mobile number, please opt out before relinquishing it or notify SANE MAT Program promptly. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate. The program is intended for users of U.S. mobile telephone numbers and is subject to applicable law and carrier rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms or the program as our practices, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
